HSA IS A LEADER IN THE ENVIRONMENTAL INDUSTRY!
Our solutions will always keep an eye toward innovative concepts that fulfill your objectives yet maintain the appropriate perspective on cost, feasibility, and cleanup goals. We lead the industry in the following capacity:
- HSA is approved under the Florida Department of Environmental Protection to provide remediation services for Dry Cleaning Facilities.
- HSA has developed the Modified Active Gas Sampling assessment tool (MAGS), an effective method of rapidly detecting unsaturated soil source areas impacted by volatile organic compounds. Due to the methods quick turn-around and reliable results the State of Florida has adopted it. In fact, MAGS has been so successful that HSA was able to remediate sites and received closure letters from sites that were previously victims of rebounding concentrations. To find out more about MAGS click here.
- HSA was active in the development of the Brownfields, Petroleum, and Drycleaning rules through the State of Florida's Contaminated Soils Forum, which advises the State on technical issues related to rule development. In addition, HSA participates in the Interstate Technology and Regulatory Council, which trains state regulators across the nation concerning new trends in environmental science.
- Our Fort Myers Environmental Manager, Richard G. Lewis II, Ph.D., P.E., BCEE has been granted certification in the specialty of Hazardous Waste Management by the American Academy of Environmental Engineers. The American Academy of Environmental Engineers certifies qualified licensed Professional Engineers recommended by peers in their field of specialty and awards certification based on moral character, education, licensing and professional activities.
-
The Florida Department of Environmental Protection selected Dr. Lewis to review their risk assessment guidance for Brownfield sites, and he has been consulted as an expert on risk assessment guidance for hazardous waste. He is active in the development of the brownfields, petroleum, and drycleaning rules through the Contaminated Soils Forum, where he serves in the Methodology Focus Group.
