Project Coordination
At the initiation of new projects, an in-house meeting is held to discuss and share the known parameters of the project. During that meeting our standard design checklist is used to correlate the information. A pre-design meeting is then held with the client (either in person or through a conference call) and the checklist is used to confirm the client's direction. Following the pre-design meeting, a copy of the meeting checklist is sent to the client for review and comment. This process paves the way for a clear understanding between the firm and client as to the requirements of each project.
Each day the entire design staff, including all engineers and technicians, meet to review and discuss each active project. These "priority meetings" keep everyone up-to-date and result in excellent coordination and communication between departments, individuals and clients. Minutes are taken at each meeting and distributed to all members of the staff so that everyone, including administrative support staff, is aware of objectives and deadlines. The attention given to scheduling and prioritizing allows for a thorough review of the project. All projects undergo a technical review by staff members not involved in the design process. This procedure provides a fresh perspective during the review process. A thorough review of the entire project by the project manager is conducted prior to delivery of the completed project to the client.
